The Waterville Opera House (c. 1904) was originally built to house the City Offices, Library, and a community hall. Now serving many functions during the year, it is primarily a performance venue hosting several local, regional, and traveling events.

Phase I exterior restoration included stone repair as well as repair and refurbishment of all exterior windows.

Phase II followed shortly thereafter to provide additional stone tuck-pointing and repair to the southeast facade. A multi-faceted improvement plan for Phase III addresses ADA access, restroom replacement, and auditorium and support space egress. This project is being completed in 2018.
