Through an on-call contract with the Kansas 4-H Foundation, the opportunity to assist with several projects located at the Rock Springs Ranch near Junction City was provided.

The new Simons Plaza includes an observation deck, shade shelter, and waterfall feature replacing the original Ranch House. A unique project to facilitate, it is one of the oldest continuously running springs in the state of Kansas. The existing water wheel was refurbished and housed in a new fenced well complete with a grinding mill and has become a focal point of the entire camping and retreat center.

Williams Dining Hall underwent an extensive renovation that included a new kitchen configuration that allows staff to operate more efficiently to include improved dishwashing capabilities. New finishes were installed at the basement and main floor dining rooms. The building also became ADA accessible with the addition of a new elevator that can transport campers, attendees, and staff to all levels without leaving the building as was previously required.

The adjacent Activity Building is a new construction project that is used to assist Williams Dining Hall as overflow dining space, but can also be used as an indoor or open-air recreation center, gathering space for lectures, orientation meetings, and other events.

A completely new staff housing building can shelter up to 16 summer staff members. The building is equipped with full restroom facilities, air-conditioning, a kitchenette, and laundry facilities.
