Our firm served as the On-Call architect for the Kansas Main Street Program beginning in 2000 until the program was deactivated in 2012. Projects in Holton, Marysville, Coffeyville, Seneca, Peabody, Chanute, Hutchinson, Phillipsburg, and Emporia, as well as additional communities, eventually totaling 23, received design services and building facade rehabilitation design efforts.

In 2004, the Kansas Main Street Program did not bring a community into the program. At that time, our team was requested to author and assist in publishing an updated Design Guidelines Manual for the Main Street Program, an effort which had not been done in ten to twenty years. The document incorporates, in final format, twelve complete sections which can be used individually or in tandem.

Currently the Kansas Main Street Program has been revitalized as a non-profit organization retaining some of the original 23 communities in the program.
