The Historic Chase County Courthouse, a rare italianate style building on the Kansas and National Register listings, has received extensive roofing, cornice, window and stone repair plus painting improvements within the past several years. Documentation and adherence to specific historic preservation techniques as prescribed by the U.S. Department of Interior were required in this project. The most recent work has incorporated a new handicapped access ramp, exterior masonry restoration, regrading and sidewalk replacement. A full facility evaluation and master interior renovation plan with respect to ongoing maintenance and continued use has been completed.
